Short-lived signals.
Clear choices.

What HardTide stores

Reports use a random browser session identifier, your confirmed coarse country, browser timezone, start/end time, and a hashed end capability. The country is initially suggested from the timezone and can be corrected before reporting. No name, precise GPS, IP-based location, free text, or health profile is requested. Raw reports are configured for automatic deletion after 24 hours.

Essential browser storage

Local storage remembers report consent, your coarse report-country preference, cookie preference, demo preference, anonymous session ID, and any active report capability. These are needed for the choices and controls you request; they are not advertising identifiers. Forgetting report consent also clears the saved country. Other choices remain until you withdraw them, clear site data, or their policy version changes.

Optional Google Analytics

Google Analytics measures aggregate site visits and interactions only after you choose “Accept analytics.” It uses host-only _ga and _ga_<measurement-id> cookies that expire no later than 90 days after creation. Google Signals, advertising storage, ad user data, and ad personalization remain disabled. Withdrawing disables Analytics and removes accessible first-party Analytics cookies.

Security check

Cloudflare Turnstile loads when you open report verification, to reduce automated abuse. Its one-time token is verified server-side and is never saved in local storage.

Support payments

The support button loads Stripe's Buy Button on the home page. If you choose to pay, Stripe hosts and processes the checkout under its own privacy terms. HardTide receives no card details and currently performs no account access, fulfillment, or profiling from a payment.

Important

HardTide is a humorous community visualization, not a medical device, diagnosis, or advice. Every active report contributes to the global total. This deployment shows a country from its first active report, so public country-level bucket suppression is disabled. A threshold above one is only one disclosure control, not a claim that the data is legally anonymous.
